In Celebration and Small Moments

Hello ✨
February may be a short month, but it was filled with so many moments.
The peak period at work has finally eased, just in time for Chinese New Year to arrive in full swing. The Lunar New Year stretched across 15 days — with the first two as official public holidays, and the rest filled with gatherings, catch-ups, and plenty of Lo Hei. (Lo Hei is a joyful tradition of tossing Yusheng — a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. The higher the toss, the greater the blessings.)
This year, I attended a surprising 7 sessions — far more than I ever expected. Somehow, it felt meaningful as welll — among the blessings, 7 means 七星高照, loosely translates to blessings shining upon you like aligned stars.
So with that, I hope this year unfolds with abundance, alignment, and quiet prosperity for all of us 🌟

Shared Moments of Making
In the festive spirit, my friends and I decided to dress up in cheongsam and what better way to spend the day than with a tea appreciation session together?
We found a cosy, home-based tea workshop, and it turned into such a lovely afternoon. Between the warmth of tea and the rhythm of conversation, one of my friends suggested we start drawing during the session.
And just like that, we did.

There was something so simple yet fulfilling about it — creating in a relaxed space, with no pressure, just presence. Feeling inspired, we made an impromptu stop at Art Friend to pick up some art materials
Seeing the Heart Behind the Work
I also managed to squeeze in a visit to the National Gallery to catch the Skullpanda exhibition before it ended. The exhibition featured works by XiongMiao, and I found the installations deeply intriguing. Each piece carried layers of meaning — quiet, complex, and open to interpretation.
What surprised me most, though, was the merchandise section. The level of design and production quality was impressive. It didn’t feel like an afterthought, but rather an extension of the artwork itself. I could really sense the care, intention, and heart that went into every details.
It reminded me that thoughtful work always shows, in one way or another.

What’s Next
While working on this post, I realised I already have a few topics in mind for the coming months.
I guess it is a way for me to express, reflect, and document life through my own lens.
A small archive of thoughts, moments, and quiet growth.
Thank you for being here.
Take care and stay safe
