Keeping Things Going
Hello!
This month’s post came a little later than usual. August felt like quite a busy month, with work getting increasingly chaotic while I was also trying to make time for the things I wanted to do outside of it.
There were quite a few things happening here and there, and somehow another month passed just like that.
Taking the Next Step
After the art fair, I started thinking about what I could do with the merchandise I had left and how I could continue sharing my work beyond physical events.
There is still so much for me to learn, especially if I want what I’m doing to eventually become sustainable. After some research and consideration, I decided that the most practical next step was to finally set up an online shop.
So amidst the busy work schedule, I slowly worked on the preparations and decided to go with Ko-fi. And it’s now officially launched!
I made the announcement on Instagram, and for now, I’m hoping to slowly build some traffic and see where it goes. I’m still figuring out what works, what people are interested in, and what else I can potentially add to the shop in the future.
I was also invited to join a craft gathering this month, where everyone brought along their own crafts or hobbies and simply sat together to create and socialise.
It was quite an interesting experience seeing everyone working on different things in the same space. I enjoy trying different art mediums, so gatherings like this also give me a chance to step away from my usual work, learn about what other people are making, and continue expanding my own craft.

Making Time Outside of Work
I took a trip to Sentosa for a Disney-themed island event as part of my monthly meet-up with a friend. We walked around, enjoyed the event and, unfortunately, I also came home quite a bit more tanned. 😅
Work has been rather chaotic lately, and I can feel that it has been taking a toll on my energy and health. I’m still trying to persevere while reminding myself to make time for things outside of work too. These little outings and meet-ups may seem simple, but they give me something else to focus on and enjoy.
During the National Day holiday, a few friends also came over to spend the day with me and, of course, to see Bella.
One of them is a vet nurse, and she helped to take a look at Bella. She mentioned that Bella seemed to be doing well, her ears and teeth were clean, and that her fur should grow back—it would just take some time.
And apparently, she is also very, very cute and calm! Hearing all of that made me feel quite relieved and grateful.
My friend also taught me a more effective way to feed Bella her medication, which I immediately tried. The only problem is that Bella seems to be getting smarter every day and has slowly figured out how to avoid it.
So… she’s challenging me quite a bit!
But I guess we’re both still learning how to deal with each other!.
What’s Next
I’ll be having another booth this December, and I’m already getting excited thinking about the preparations.
After what I learnt from the previous fair, there are quite a few things I want to explore and improve this time—from the booth itself to what I want to create next.
There are still a few months to go, so for now, I’ll take my time to plan, experiment, and see what ideas come along.
Between the online shop, exploring different crafts, and preparing for another fair, I feel like I’m slowly finding more ways to keep art present in my life alongside everything else.
Let’s see where the next few months take me.
Meanwhile, take care and stay safe! ✨
